Burden Bearer — Prophet Tony Mathias

A story is told of a man tall and strong. His job was to carry people across the river and receive money from them in return. He was proud and very confident about his strength he felt he needed no one’s help not even God’s help. He was not a Christian.

One day a beautiful child came to the bank of the river.

As the man bent down to allow the child to climb on his back, the young child said, “Are you sure you can bear my weight?”

The man laughed. He said – I have carried men across the river. You, little one, you are as light as a feather.

“Very well,” said the boy. “But I must warn you. I am heavier than I look.”

The man laughed again and raised the child on his big shoulders and stepped out into the river. But the weight on his back grew more and more heavy and he was surprised. Soon he was struggling and with great difficulty landed on the other side of the river where he put the child.

He asked the child “How can you be so heavy?” “Who are you?”

The child replied – “I am Jesus Christ of Nazareth I carry the burdens of the world on my shoulders. Let me carry your burdens too.” – This man became a Christian and a powerful testimony following this incidence.

This story reminds us that we don’t have to struggle every day on our own. There is One stronger than us. He is the Great Burden-bearer. He carries our burden if we will give it to him.

Burden Bearer
People are bearing all kinds of burdens today which opposes what God says in His Word that they should not be doing so and that includes us.

Prison Doors Open
People are in all kinds of prisons today, often prisons of their own making – trapped in fear, worry, cares, sin, sickness, failure, joblessness, lack, poverty…

They say: Does God care about meDoes he know what I go through?
Yes, He does. Could that be you?

Jesus Your Burden Bearer
The good news is that Jesus the Son of God paid the price by his blood to open the prison doors and set everyone absolutely free. We have been sent to preach the gospel the good news to tell others that the prison doors are open (although many choose to stay in – unaware or refuse to live in freedom).

Jesus said:
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all of you who are tired and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you.”

Psalms 55:22 – “Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you.”

Philippians 4:6-7 – “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

Many are in prisons of fear, worry, sin, sickness – 25% of the world depressed. The Good News is that God has already opened your prison door and you are free. You need to know how to come out! Carrying your burden will leave you in prison.

Once you carry your burden you have a problem. You try to solve it yourself – you tell others, they will talk about it to others and your problem gets bigger.

If you carry your burden the Lord doesn’t have it. If He has it, you don’t.
And when He has it and He will solve it – miraculously all by himself; through you or others by His leading.

‘Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us’Ephesians 3:20.

But you first need to first cast your burden on the Lord then He will take care of it.

How Do You Cast Your Burden?

Three Steps:

Say – Believe – Do

Step No.1SAY
Mark 11:23 Say with your mouth you are casting the burden on him.

Step No. 2BELIEVE
Hebrews 3:1 Believe with your heart that you have done without being anxious.

Step No. 3DO
James 2:17, 26 Faith-in-action – Ask the Lord if you need to do anything about the same, then do it.

Ask the Lord if you need to do anything about the same, then do it. Keep praising and thanking the Lord in advance that the problem is solved.

That all sums up your faith in action, showing you have believed.

Once again – How Do You Cast Your Burden?

Say something like this:

Lord Jesus Christ You are my Savior, my Lord my burden bearer.
I cast this burden on You and I go free.
Without You I can do nothing. With You I can do all things.
Let me know if there is anything for me to do in this situation.
I will follow Your lead.
Thank you Lord!

Now DO as led by the Lord.
If you do this, you will have peace and assurance your problem is solved.
He will not fail you nor forsake you.

Conclusion:
Let us summarize in brief what we have learnt.

You have a Burden?
Cast it on Jesus, He is your burden-bearer. He told you to do so.

Cast your burden on Him in three steps.

  1. SAY with your mouth that you have cast the burden on him.
  2. BELIEVE in your heart that you have done so.
  3. DO something – faith in action, obeying his leading, praising and thanksgiving.

Next, He will solve your problem in at least three ways: – Either, or a combination of all three:

  • Miraculously by Himself
  • By leading you
  • Through others

What happens next?
Your problem is solved! You tell others ‘Look what the Lord has done!’
He gets the glory!

Birthing Your Prophetic Destiny — Prophet Tony Mathias

There are some who have had prophetic words over their lives and yet they have not come to pass for several years. You may be one of those. Although you may have had them confirmed from the mouth of two or three witnesses yet in desperation you may have said the Prophet was wrong. You may have said, “I’ve heard everything the Bible has said about healing, but I still haven’t received the promise of God in a miracle.” So you gave up on believing the word of the Lord and the revelation.

Why is this so? And how can you birth the prophetic word given to you, see your prophetic promises fulfilled and release your destiny?

Matthew 16:13-17 Simon Peter had a revelation from heaven. He said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven.”

You too may also have received divine inspiration like Peter-a prophetic word, a vision, an illumined scripture from God. Maybe a prophet called you out and prophesied over you or God spoke to you through television, radio or a dream.

God may have revealed something we would accomplish for him, something we would become or something we would see Him do in our lifetime.

Matthew 16 Jesus said to Peter: “I say to you Peter, ‘on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.‘” This was a specific [rhema] word to Peter.

“On this rock” means on this rock of revelation, of being able to hear what your Father in heaven is saying, I shall build, My church.” Revelation activates destiny!

In the same passage, Jesus goes on to say, “Peter, I’ve given you the keys to the kingdom. The keys are the prophetic word or revelation you receive. It is the key to your destiny. You can use this key to unlock heaven and lose things in heaven so what God said about you in heaven can come to pass on the earth. With that prophetic destiny key, you can build and plant or uproot and pull down every opposition to its fulfillment. Jeremiah 1:10.

When God gives you a revelation, you are called to build, plant, loose, birth and bring to pass that word by working with the Holy Ghost. At the same time, you may have to pull down some things in the spirit that oppose the fulfillment of your word.

We need to know how to properly use these keys which have been handed to us through visions, dreams or words from the Lord.

Many times we have not walked in the fulfillment of what God said about us, not because of the prophet, God or the devil, but because of ourselves. We have a responsibility to birth prophetic promises that are given to us. When God speaks something about you, He is releasing a potential. What we do with it can determine our destiny.

When God says something about you, He is speaking out and releasing your potential. Many Christians don’t realize that most prophetic words, or their timing, are conditional upon us taking certain steps of obedience.

Daniel had a revelation while he was reading the book of Jeremiah. God breathed on the scripture and revealed to him that he was about to come out of Babylonian captivity after 70 years. Daniel began to fast and pray. Daniel 10 about what God said – he didn’t just take God’s spoken word for granted. He realized that God wanted him to be involved in the word.

Like Daniel, we need to birth prophetic words of God spoken to us and bring to pass what is potential. They are designed to stir up and cause destiny to come alive in us so we will get passionate about what God about us. We need to fast and pray over the prophetic word given to us.

Daniel kept praying and after 21 days Gabriel the archangel showed up and told him that God had heard his prayer on the very first day but it took 21 days for the answer to come because of opposition in heaven called the Prince of Persia. The enemy didn’t want him to receive what God wanted him to have immediately so there was a delay in the spirit.

What are the roadblocks to your destiny? It may be an opposition set up in heaven against your destiny.

So how do we hasten the word of the Lord?

  • Pray with Fasting
  • Prophetic Decree – proclaim or declare by faith the word given to you
  • Release angels to go and get what God has for you – angels should be sent out to battle the forces of the enemy trying to keep us from our destiny

The Web Of Deception — Prophet Tony Mathias

Deception – ‘believing a lie as the truth,’ & Disobedience were the first sins that broke God’s family and is doing the same today! We were born liars. Some of the first lies we were told as little babies was about the Boogie-Man and we repeated the same to other babies.

We lie to protect or hurt ourselves or others. Two main reasons for which we ‘lie’ are:
1. ‘Fear’ of consequences and
2. ‘Pride’man’s approval.

What will others think of us? Lying causes hurt, disappointment, and disharmony in the body of Christ. It makes people lose respect, creates conflicts destroys relationships. Are Christians guilty of lying? – Very much! What happens when people make it a habit to lie? –there is the danger of the Lake of Fire Revelation 21:8.

Is there hope? Yes! Repent!

Satan is a liar and the Father of lies John 8:44. He deceives the whole world Revelation 12:9. His ‘favorite and fundamental’ lie is ‘Has God Said?’ That means that according to him God is not who He says He is. By saying this he got Eve & Adam to get deceived and to disobey.’

As someone said: ‘The Snake will always be a snake who twists and turns as it crawls. He even twists the truth for his own purposes.’ He used this lie in the Garden of Eden, and he will use it against you and me. Satan deceived Peter, Solomon, and David, and he will try to deceive us unless we are careful. Let us examine the three persons we have mentioned.

PETER Mark 14:27-31 – Jesus told them that they would all fall away. But Peter declared that he would not. Jesus then told him that on that very day he would deny him thrice. Peter again insisted that he would never deny him. It is clear that Satan deceived Peter. He may have whispered to him that he was strong like a rock, others would fall not he. He had caused him agree with Satan that God was lying.

SOLOMON 1 Kings 4:29-31; 11:1-4. – God gave Solomon great wisdom and insight and yet Satan deceived him. How? – God’s original plan for marriage was ‘one man – one woman,’ yet he had around a thousand wives from surrounding nations living in idolatry against God’s clear command. And that resulted in him being an idolater.

DAVID 2 Samuel 11:1-4 – God called David a man after His own heart yet, he was deceived. Like Solomon, he disobeyed God’s plan for marriage. He already had many wives and yet commits adultery with Bathsheba and covers up his sin with the murder of Uriah her husband who is one of David’s most loyal army officers.

Perhaps Satan deceived him by telling him that a little break of adultery after serving God so faithfully would not make any difference, that no one would know [secret sin]. David’s sin brought disaster for himself, his family, his country. And God’s enemies mocked the name of the Lord 1 Samuel 12:14.

What lies has the devil whispered in your ears? – “just a little sin” “you are different” “it doesn’t apply to you” “you’re strong!” Just this once” “No one will ever know!” “You can’t resist this temptation – don’t try!” You don’t need to worry about this temptation!”

Here’s an easier way to do it!”
What did Jesus do when He was tempted? He drew out His sword – the weapon of God’s Word against that temptation and he quoted – ‘it is written!’ Be wise when you are tempted and do likewise.

1) 1 Timothy 6:12. ‘Fight the good fight of faith’ – Fight the ‘lie’ by declaring God’s specific Word
2) John 15:5. ‘Apart from me, you can do nothing.’ –Be assured ‘God is a very present help.’
3) 1 John 2:5-6: ‘…Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.’
4) Luke 12:2: ‘There is nothing…hidden that will not be made known…’
5) 1 Corinthians 10:13: ‘…God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.’

Know that Satan is a liar. Know his ‘lies.’ You can resist his ‘lies’ when you are in the Word, Prayer, and Fellowship.

Overcoming Temptation — Prophet Tony Mathias

Temptation is a problem every Christian faces. Overcoming temptation is a process and God makes provision to enable us to be victors and not victims.

PURPOSE
Many Christians struggle with the same type of temptations over the years but don’t seem to get free. James 1:13; Genesis 22:1-2; Matthew 4:4-11.

God does not tempt, although He tests. God tests us at our strong points. Satan tempts us at our weak points. Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, so He can identify with us and we can receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need Hebrews 4:15-16.

God tests us so we can develop our inner spiritual strength and reign. James 1:12.

Satan uses three basic emotions in temptation to ensnare 1 John 2:16.

  1. Lust of the flesh – Physical desires
  2. Lust of the eyes – Mental desires
  3. Pride of Life – Emotional desires

PROCESS
Generally, a thought progresses through four stages:

‘Thought’ > ‘Imagination’ > ‘Desire’ and ‘Action.’

The Bible tells us in Matthew 6 ‘take no thought saying.’ You take a thought or the thought becomes a stronghold by saying and words form pictures. In order to be victorious over temptation, ‘nip’ the destructive thought right at the budding stage of thought if possible even before the imagination stage of forming pictures begins. Because beyond the imagination stage desire takes over and it’s only a matter of time we act and fall into temptation.

PROVISION

Be Filled With the Spirit.
Prayerlessness on the other hand is costly! We are overcome by temptation Luke 22:46. That is why we need to be continually filled with the Spirit by Praying in tongues. This will affect our speech and relationship Ephesians 5:18-22. Prayer brings a life of surrender Romans 6:12-14 where sin no more has dominion, releases God’s blessings, moves heaven and earth, turns back our enemies, fulfills God’s Will
and much more!

Stand On the Word
Be soaked with the Word of God. We should stand on the Word In all circumstances, and in every situation. Lord Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness and was then tempted. The enemy knew He was hungry. But Jesus stood on the Word Matthew 4:4-11. God’s Word gives power against temptation Psalms 119:11.

Walk In the Spirit
Being filled helps you walk in the Spirit. This means being led by the Spirit, obeying and following him daily. As you walk in the Spirit, God will enable you to live in the Spirit and give you power to escape temptation and not fall into recurring sin Galatians 5:25-26; 1 Corinthians 10:13.

Launch Your Weapons
We should use the spiritual weapons God has provided. We must keep the Spiritual Armour ‘on.’ Ephesians 6:10-18.

We should use the missiles – Name of Jesus, Blood of Jesus, and Word of God along with praise against temptation.

Secret Of Transformation — Prophet Tony Mathias

RENEWING THE MIND
God is a Spirit. He made you in His likeness and image. So you are a spirit too. You have a ‘soul’ [mind] and you live in a physical body. John 3: 3-6; 4:24; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; When you are born again, God lives in your spirit, which becomes brand new. You are then able to fellowship, communicate and live in friendship with God spiritually.

Your spirit becomes God-conscious. Your physical body and mind are the same as before. Being in contact with the physical world they make you world-conscious and self-conscious.

The mind thinks in a worldly way, rejecting what the Spirit says Romans 8:6-7; For example, it continues to think negatively, be depressed, gossip, have fear… Even Christians are known to live in this way. A major reason: – they lack knowledge of God’s Word, or even if they know they are unable to walk in it. And we will find out why. If the soul [mind] is poor your whole life will be poor. If your soul prospers, your whole life will prosper; One who has a prosperous soul is quick to repent, believe and forgive. He has a positive mind, led by the Spirit. 3 John 2; Romans 8: 14; Romans 12:1-2; He thinks in line with God’s Word. Old ways of thinking have been swept away. He is disciplined, holy generous and so on.

The secret of a victorious Christian living is to renew our mind by changing the way we think, by thinking in line with God’s Word. Therefore we need to keep reading God’s Word, meditating on it and obeying it daily. Then we will be able to renew our minds and be transformed!

REJECTION AND LONELINESS
Satan has devised many weapons to destroy you. One of them is the self-destructive weapon of Rejection & Loneliness. When you are overcome with this weapon, you lose your peace, joy, and happiness, get discouraged, wallow in self-pity, get depressed, sick, fall an easy prey to temptation and worst still, reject God your only help.

Newspapers, magazines, films are full of stories of revenge, murder, suicide victims trying to deal with rejection and loneliness in their own ways. Satan has many friends who help him; parents, teachers, lovers, friends, and people we depend on, society…they hold this weapon in their hands

Someone wrote this letter:
God do you understand the pain of my rejection and loneliness? Where are you when I need you the most? I am lonely, afraid and insecure. Those I trusted most deserted me. Can I count on you Lord? Will you desert me? Is there an answer, a hope for me? Oh God help me! I’m confused.

God Replies:
Those the Father has given me I will never reject John 6: 37 – Though others may reject and desert you, I will not! I willingly accept those who trust me. I did not condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery though others did. I reject the sin but not the sinner. I freely forgive those who ask me to. I will never forget you I have carved you on the palms of my hand…do not be afraid for I am with you.” Isaiah 49:15-16; 41: 10
I am with you night and day. I love you and I will never leave you. Yes, I understand your suffering, pain of rejection and loneliness. I suffered too. I was despised and rejected by others. You are not alone. Haven’t you read the scriptures? He came unto his own and his own received him not. John 1:11 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief: and we turned our backs on him. Isaiah 53:3 Moses said –My own people won’t listen to me anymore…Exodus 6:12.. Cheer up! There is hope!

You are an over-comer, you can overcome rejection and loneliness. Don’t deal with it all by yourself. I’ll show you the way. Here is the solution. Don’t turn away from God. He takes care of you. He heals your broken heart “Give all your worries and cares to God he cares about what happens to you.” 1 Peter 5:7 “He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3. Don’t turn away from others; Go where you are assigned. Get Involved in the local church – “take care of traveling teachers, missionaries” “care for orphans and widows in their troubles” and there are many other things you can do. 3 John 1:5; James 1:27.

Nuggets of Wisdom (From A Man Named AGUR) — Rachel Mathias

Agur the son of Jakeh is a Bible Character found in the Book of Proverbs Chapter 30, better known as Agur Bin Jakeh. The word Agur means ‘one who is brave in pursuit of wisdom’.

We can glean several prized nuggets from this chapter in verses 5 to 9 such as:
God’s Word is true and flawless, all else a falsehood. God always keeps His promises. We are not to add to His Words. He understood what it meant to live a life of contentment and the paradox of poverty and riches – wherein asking for poverty might lead to stealing or speaking evil against God or asking for riches that might lead to being full of himself and denying God. So he asked neither for poverty nor for riches but only for his daily bread.

Agur understood the significance of the Book of Proverbs which displays the need for God’s Wisdom to be found only in God’s Word that teaches you how to live well; the need to be open to hearing God, receiving His Wisdom through His Word recorded in the Bible.

We are told in 2 Chronicles 1:7, 10, how God was willing to give Solomon whatever he asked for and how Solomon opted for ‘wisdom and knowledge’ to govern and lead His people rather than riches, fame, honor, long life, and victory. Not – surprisingly, he received what he asked inclusive of great wealth (vs 12).

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7. We need to start with wisdom, add to it knowledge, and we will get true understanding.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today with a humble heart bowing down before you in worship. I ask you to fill me with the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Your Word.

Oh, how I long to be in Your presence. Speak to me words of wisdom through Your Word. Lord help me to be both hearer and doer of Your Word. Since the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom help me obey Your Word in fear and reverence; that Your Word would guide me to live a holy and peaceful life in Christ Jesus. Amen!
