Greetings in the name of Jesus the Name above all names!

In our fifth portal, we covered speaking in Tongues. We continue on the topic of portals. Our sixth in the series ‘Portal Time Traveller,’ will be the Portal – ‘RUDDER.’

The Tongue is like the Rudder of a ship.

In James 3:4-5, the Bible compares the tongue to the rudder of a ship.

“Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue…”

Even when a massive ship is facing strong winds and massive waves, the direction the rudder is positioned holds more power over the ship than the winds.

The tongue is like the rudder of a ship powerful enough to steer a person’s life amidst fierce trials, tribulations, circumstances and situations.  When it seems as though all circumstances are against you, your tongue holds more power than the circumstances. You can position your words in the way you want to go, just like a rudder does. In fact, even the power of life and death are in the tongue

God is Spirit. He designed humans, made them in His likeness and image to be speaking spirits like Him. As He is, so are we in this world., to be His spokesman. We use our tongue in the same way God does- to set things in motion. 

God said – Let there be light and there was light. Genesis 1:3

While reflecting on Genesis 1, we understand that God created the universe and everything in it including the earth, with His words. He spoke forth and saw it come to pass.

Isaiah 55:11. “…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” 

We can use our words the same way. Even though you may not like your past, you can’t change who you’ve been, but you can choose who you want to be with the words of your mouth. Identity is a decision, not a destiny. You can change your world by changing your words.

Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” 

The tongue has the power of life and death. Our words are very powerful. 

They can either speak life, or death. Our words, can build others up, or tear them down.

Your tongue can steer you in the direction you want to go.

Slowly but surely as you begin to speak of where you want to go, you will get there. This is the way you are designed to function. This is how faith works.

Believe it in your heart, and confess it with your mouth. Mark 11:23-24. Romans 10:9-10.

Do you want to change the direction where your life is headed? Change the words you speak! God has given us the ability to steer our life in the direction we want it to go by using our tongues.

Words can make us or break us. They heal us or make us sick. According to the Bible, words destroy us or make our lives full of life, happiness and health. The words we spoke yesterday – make life what it is today. What you say is what you get. You can change your world by changing your words! Mark 11:23.

It is written: “I believed; therefore, I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 2 Corinthians 4:13

If you want to change your circumstances, change the words coming out of your mouth. If you want to see good days, learn to choose carefully the words you speak that are in line with your aspirations. 

But you also need to exert caution! This is a principle that can work for or against you. If you constantly say things like I’m always broke, sick and disgusted with life, nothing good happens to me, and so on, then you are likely to see these things become a reality in your life. 

Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Psalm 34: 12-13

The book of James also compares the tongue to a bit in a horse’s mouth. 

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths, so that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. James 3:2-3

This verse is saying that just as a horse is bridled by the bit in the mouth allowing the rider to control its direction, so can our entire bodies be bridled by our tongue. We will go in the direction our words go. 

Mark 11:23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Words have power to affect our bodies, emotions, and actions. Our bodies are designed to respond to the words of our mouth. The mountain symbolizes our problem, be it sickness, lack, confusion, contrary circumstances or whatever we want removed. We are to speak to it. Everything responds to faith-filled words. 

Most people speak to God about their problems. This verse is saying we need to speak directly to our problems. Jesus is our model. As He is, so are we in this world. He spoke to bodies, sickness, trees, winds, demons, and even to dead bodies and they came alive! So must we.

Psalm 107:2. “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” 

We should say things like –  In the Name of Jesus – “Sickness, leave my body” “Body, you be strong and healthy.”  We are supposed to use the authority Jesus gave us through our words and command the problem to be removed. And when you take the place of a Commander, blessings shall come upon you and others as well.

You create an atmosphere of blessing or cursing with your words. Christians should control their tongues. 

But is that possible?

No one can conquer their words on their own. But through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can! Without being filled with the Holy Spirit, tongues are evil and full of poison. James3:8

Jesus taught us the power of our words. He said that people who believe that the words they say will come to pass, without doubting in their hearts, will have what they say Mark 11:23.  

“…you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth. Proverbs 6:2

When it comes time to rebuke sickness or command healing in some people, their bodies don’t respond. Why?  Because they are constantly saying wrong words, not understanding the power of words. So they train their bodies not to believe or take their words seriously. However, there is hope. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can train our tongue to only speak words of truth and life. Then, we will begin to see our lives go in the direction of our words. 

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7.

When you think wrong, you believe wrong. When you believe wrong, you speak and act wrong. Wrong thinking causes you to make wrong choices. Deliverance from these things only comes from the knowledge of God and His Word.

Psalm 141:3 “Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips” – 

Prophets and those who are prophetically oriented especially should ask for wisdom and take heed to this scripture.

We can begin to control our tongues by speaking the word of God aloud. This will in turn train our heart and tongue to speak truth, even in opposing circumstances. We need to start thinking about the words we speak. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to help us speak only words that line up with His truth. Then you will begin to see the promises of God become a reality in your life!

Proverbs 4:23. “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” 

And your heart connects with your mouth, the tongue, the portal – Rudder of life. For what you say is what you get.

Greetings in the name of Jesus the matchless One!

We have covered so far four portals in our series ‘Portal Time Traveller.’ The last one we covered was the ‘Bread of Life’ – portal. 

We now deal with the fifth – ‘Tongues’

Speaking in Tongues is the gateway, or portal into the supernatural, the door into all the other spiritual gifts Mark 16:17-18.

I have found in my own life that the more I speak in tongues, the more I pray and worship, operate in prophetic – seer realm with spiritual antennas opened into the invisible and gifts of the Spirit manifested.

What precedes that of course is my desire for spiritual gifts and earnestly coveting the best gifts (1 Corinthians 12:31, 14:1), in order to be more effective in my Christian walk and be a blessing to all those around and fulfil my call and commission for the Glory of God.

This began in my life years ago through the door of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit when I began to receive spiritual gifts God promised those who believe His Word. Those who haven’t been baptized in the Holy Spirit should do so.

God has made available to each one of His children a supernatural way of communicating with Him through the gift of tongues, to supernaturally build ourselves spiritually. When you pray in tongues, you are praying God’s will, directly to Him. It gets your mind out of the way so your spirit can commune with the Father. When you pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit Himself teaches you all things.

1 Corinthians 14:39 “Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

Tongues is a face to face encounter with God – your access to His Glory.

1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

This is why the devil has fought speaking in tongues more than anything else.

To cite a few cases

Apostle Paul was responsible for writing most of the New Testament!

He said: “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than ye all.” (1 Corinthians 14:18)

John G. Lake said: “Speaking in tongues has been the making of my entire ministry.”

Kenneth Hagin had the divine ability to pray in the Spirit for hours. It was reported that he has prayed in Tongues for few days without stopping – praying and Interpreting Tongues.

Smith Wigglesworth who had a powerful ministry along with healings and raising the dead said: “It is a wonderful thing to pray in the Spirit and to sing in the Spirit, praying in Tongues and singing in Tongues as the Spirit of God gives you utterance. God has ordained this speaking in an unknown Tongue unto Himself as a wonderful, supernatural means of communication in the Spirit.”

There are many good reasons for praying in the spirit:

  • Supernatural Praise (1Corinthians 14:15-17)
  • Supernatural Power (Luke 24:49; Acts1:8)
  • Supernatural Edification (1 Corinthians 14:4)
  • Supernatural Prayer (Romans 8:26-27)
  • Supernatural Refreshing (Isaiah 28:11-12, John 7:37-39)
  • Supernatural Overcoming (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 Jude 20; Galatians 5:16)
  • Holy Spirit Gifts Channelling (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) and much more

Tongues…a portal to the Presence and Power of God.


Giving yourself to long stretch of time praying in tongues will add to the weight of glory that you can carry and impart in people’s lives

Giving yourself to long stretch of time praying in tongues will be a vital key to tapping the miraculous and moving in the glory of God.

Words spoken in tongues by your tongue will determine the direction of your life, just like the rudder of a ship determines the direction a ship will go – if you continue in that direction, you will arrive there.

Use this great portal by praying in Tongues for long stretches of time, many hours daily and watch the miraculous unfold and God use you to perform His Will in your life

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – October 2022 (Dose of Prophecy)

Greetings in the name of Jesus the matchless One!

We have covered so far three portals in our series ‘Portal Time Traveller’– namely:

Thanksgiving and Praise; Jesus the Door – Opener; Forever You

We now deal with the fourth – ‘Bread 0f Life’

A Portal is a doorway or entrance point – a spherical opening of light thoroughly safeguarded where angels and heavenly beings come and go without demonic interference.  God designed portals to begin in the third heaven, continue in the second heaven, and open up on the earth.

God provided manna when the Israelites needed food. He opened an untampered portal in heaven and manna came through it. None were weak or sick because they ate angel’s food prepared in heaven.

Jesus said of himself- “This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:58

God has been waiting to release supernatural miracles, divine healings and deliverances through Communion. We could come into the service in one condition and leave changed!

But sadly we have often reduced Communion to a religious tradition or ritual squeezed into church service schedule.

We distribute the elements (wafer and juice), quickly read a relevant scripture, pray, consume the elements and then move on to the next part of the service.

On the road to Emmaus (Luke 24), after Jesus rose from the dead two disciples walked with Him but did not recognize Him. He explained to them the prophecies of the Old Testament fulfilled in His death and resurrection. When they arrived at Emmaus that evening, the two disciples stopped to eat, and asked Jesus to join them. He did, and as He broke the bread and blessed the meal, “their eyes were opened,” they recognized Him and He vanished. Two powerful harmonious occurrences – the breaking of the Word and the breaking of bread. It would be good to ruminate on the two incidences that ushered the manifest presence of the Lord.

“Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked?” they said to each other. Their physical eyes were blinded to the identity of Jesus, but their eyes of faith were opened as Jesus opened the Scriptures to them. (People have revelatory experiences, opening of portals, through reciting and meditating on scriptures).

At the table, He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Their eyes were then opened, and they recognized him. They quickly returned at once to Jerusalem, found the Eleven and those with them, proclaiming that the Lord had risen.

Luke 24 could be seen as a model of Life’s journey with Jesus with many of us in our daily walk with Him as our resurrected Lord and Saviour. He opens our eyes, to reveal His manifest presence at the breaking of bread and breaking of the Word which often comes simultaneously.

 “Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:54

 “…without Me you can do nothing…” John 15:5-6

“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Those that are born again are connected to the very life – source God Himself.

Communion is not only a reminder that we have been washed by the blood of the Lamb but also that we are receiving God’s abundant life not from this world which sustains our spirit man, making it possible to do what Christ did and the greater works.

When Christ lives in you, He comes with a portal. To access it you need revelation. It begins with awareness, then activation power, and glory. 

While partaking of the elements and reflecting on relevant scriptures and episodes of His death, burial, resurrection, by revelation, the whole scene could be re-enacted going back in time through the ‘Bread 0f Life’ – portal where Jesus, makes His presence recognizable – debarring it from becoming a religious tradition or ritual.  

At the time of partaking of the elements we need to pray for revelation that the Lord would help us to be conscious of how His body was broken to bring us healing, health and wholeness, His blood shed to forgive our sins, to experience His love for His people, a release of the inheritance of the righteous that includes preservation, provision, healing, health and wholeness. We can come boldly into His presence and thank Him for His sin, disease, poverty-free life, in His Precious Blood.

Not only at church services but individuals at home should as a daily practice have Communion.

What a wonderful thing to have the abiding presence of the Lord through the portal of the Bread of Life connected with the breaking of bread and the Word!

Greetings in the matchless Name of Jesus – the Lion of Judah!

We have learnt that Portals are pathways that connect the Heavenly realm and the earthly realms.

We reflected on the portals ‘Thanksgiving and Praise’ and ‘Jesus The Door Opener.’ We mentioned some of the inter-connects to stay connected with Jesus were Assembling, Service and Prayer.

The next portal to consider is ‘The Forever You’ – Portal.

I believe God made us portals individually, not just for our earthly 3 dimensional realm, but for other dimensions beyond our earthly existence ad-infinitum. It is even more than just a two-way communication link that truly exists, it is a belief system that accommodates not only a visitation from the living God in the believer’s life but also a habitation and dialogue.

In the epistle of John there are several chapters that refer to a believer abiding in Christ and Christ abiding in the believer. Thus the believer becomes an open portal for Christ to manifest Himself on earth. At the same time the believer may experience being seated in heavenly places with Christ (Ephesians 2: 6).

Let us review a few of the portals of heaven in the Bible – this could help in part demystify the mystery surrounding the topic of portals. (The author has himself experienced some of these).

A portal is a doorway or entry point – a spherical opening of light that offers divine protection through or by which angels and heavenly beings come and go without demonic interference. God designed portals to originate in the third heaven, travel through the second heaven, and open upon the earth.

Psalm 78 :23-24 “Yet he gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens; He rained down manna for the people to eat, He gave them the grain of heaven.”

When the Israelites needed food, God provided ‘manna.’

Demons couldn’t stop it because God opened an un-tampered portal in heaven and manna came through it.

Could this be why it is referred to as angel’s food and that no one was sick or weak for 40 years because they ate manna – food prepared for them in heaven? –Yes it certainly seems so. God opened the portal in heaven and delivered food to the Israelites through it.

(Genesis 28: 10-18) Jacob on his way to Haran, one evening, laid his head on a stone and slept. He had a dream. He saw an open portal in heaven with a staircase with angels ascending and descending upon it. Yes, angels of the Lord walk with us, ascending with our prayer and descending with the answer. 

Jacob’s heart’s desire was being transferred to heaven. God was standing at the ‘doorway’, above the stairs guarding the portal. God communicated with him. Jacob woke up, he said: ‘Surely, the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it’ (Genesis 28: 16).

He called the place ‘the gate of heaven.’ He didn’t want to forget where the open portal was. It is, possible that the Presence of God is where we are and we are not able to perceive it? When we have an encounter we should not forget the location.

Open portals exist in the New Testament too. 

A door (portal) in heaven was opened for John (Revelation 4:1) to have a revelation of the end times; the same type of portal traversed by angels and Jesus himself.

John was told to ‘come up here’ how was he to do that?

John 1:51 Jesus told Nathanael: “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man”

Previously, in the experience of Jacob, angels were descending upon the earth.

With Jesus, they were descending upon Jesus! That’s the difference. Jesus brought with Him a new dimension of portals no longer limited to a location, He moved with an open portal. Wherever He walked, during His time on earth, heavens were opened because the portal was on Him.

Although Portals are openings in heaven that reach earth at specific locations in order for there to be angelic activity. But with Jesus, it was not targeted at a location anymore, but rather on a Person. Jesus came to replicate Himself, so that we could be like Him. The purpose of Jesus’ coming is for us to carry an open portal wherever we go. When we arrive at a place the atmosphere changes because we are carrying an open portal.

In Jordan, the Bible says that the moment Jesus came up out of the water after being baptized ‘heaven was opened’ (Matthew 3:16) because Jesus was obedient. Jesus went through a baptism of repentance though not a sinner who needed to repent. However, His Father told Him to do it, and He obeyed.

The purpose of Jesus’ coming is for us to carry an open portal wherever we go. You can be an open portal through unity (Acts 2:1), Prayer (Acts 4:31), Obedience (Hebrews 5:8). Remember, it may not be pleasant to obey, but do it anyway. Be encouraged knowing that every time you are in obedience, exaltation results. Jesus did it – He said: ‘My Father…not as I will, but…Your will be done Matthew 26:39-42).’ He didn’t like what He was being asked to do, to die on the Cross, but He obeyed (Philippians 2:8), because His Father said so, He did it. Because of this, God highly exalted Jesus and gave Him a name above all names.

Acts 2:1-3 “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them”. 

The portal was established upon the disciples’ heads that day. Portals are no longer restricted to specific locations, but now, we can be carriers of heavenly portals.

How can we access the realms of heaven to change our earthly environments – create heavenly habitations in and around us? –  by keeping our temple holy, worshipping the Lord, praying, even doing spiritual discipline like fasting, reading and meditating on the word of God, silence, solitude, mission, – these prepare us to receive messages from heaven

I believe many are going to experience open portals from heaven here on the earth …The bridegroom Jesus Christ is coming soon. We the Bride are being prepared to meet Him. You are forever a portal!

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – August 2022 (Dose of Prophecy)

Greetings in the matchless Name of JESUS – THE DOOR OPENER!

The last time we dealt with a few basics on the portal as entrances into God’s presence, with an underlying objective to fulfil His plans and purposes through a release of His power and presence, a release of much angelic activity, ministering angels at work, while preparing His Bride for His soon coming return.  

Pathways that connect the Heavenly realm and the earthly realm are portals. The portal we considered was ‘Thanksgiving and Praise’ – which is still under construction worldwide in the lives of God’s people but is gaining momentum. Praise is God’s habitation and should be ours as well – a temple of praise. We know that when we worship the Lord we open up environments that become heavenly portals when heaven will be released

Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of thy tent…stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations…”   

1 Peter 2:9. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

Hope we have been regularly and continually entering the Portal of Thanksgiving and Praise and witnessing a super-abound.

Let us continue to stretch forth the curtain of the Heavenly–Earth connection, bit by bit. This is a clarion call to the Body of Christ to open portals. But how can we unless and until we delve into our next portal – “JESUS THE DOOR OPENER”

God and Adam walked together in the Garden. Adam was expelled from God’s presence and excluded from the glory after he transgressed. In the aftermath, of time immemorial, mankind has sought a pathway back into the supernatural realm.

Thanks be to God for the Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of the living God who became the Door-Opener into God’s presence

According to God’s blueprint, a woman is designed to bear children by becoming a portal of transport of a human spirit – soul from the spiritual to the natural realm.

Jesus fulfilled the Abrahamic Covenant, became the Portal within the ‘portal.’ 

He became the Portal or Door John 10:7,9 between the natural and the supernatural – the Seed of God, the Reconciler to reconcile man and God, one mediator between God and man 1 Timothy 2:5; 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 – legal inhabitant of the earth and spiritual world.

Jesus entered the natural dimension where all humans live through one of Abraham’s descendants, the ‘portal’ – the Virgin Mary, for God’s design and will to be established on earth.

This applies to us as well – we too become portals…As He is, so are we in this world 1 John 4:17. 

We are meant to be heavenly portals for heaven itself. Welcome to your pathway to destiny

According to the book of Ephesians we are seated in heavenly places, but to make this an everyday reality with heavenly encounters we need to access this heavenly portal JESUS – THE DOOR OPENER! Let us hold fast to the testimony of Jesus! He wants to spend time with us because He loves us, and He will show us some of the heavenly places.

The Psalmist says in Psalm 24:7-10. “Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, ancient doors; that the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty. The LORD mighty in battle…LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.”

How do we stay connected with Jesus?

This goes beyond making room for the King of Glory to enter – through new birth. In this series we will consider three inter-connects: Assembling; Service; Prayer

Assembling. “We should not neglect the assembling of saints, our meeting together as believers for worship and instruction, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more faithfully as we see the day of Christ’s return] approaching.”          Hebrews 10:25.

So we need to Choose a Local Church where the Body of Christ gathers to hear the Word of God and respond in worship together and be regularly present and involved in Christian service and fellowship. It’s impossible to maintain a healthy relationship with God apart from his Body on earth, the Church.

Service.

Galatians 5:13. “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”

We may all like the word ministry but have we pondered over how to minister the life of Jesus? Yes, we need to find people to serve, and a great place to do that is the local Church. – The quickest path to depart from God is to pursue self, your own interests forgetful of others. This amounts to selfishness.

But there is a way out of this – think of yourself less. Put Jesus first, others next and yourself last. You do this by finding people to serve in love. As stated before it can happen in your church. You could also find other ways to serve others around you in different walks of life. This would open up prophetic encounters

Prayer

Praying without ceasing for this is the will of God. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19. Make prayer a dialogue with God. Once you do it personally on a one-to-one with God, it can flow corporately through prayer – partners. Prophetic people ought to hear God’s voice as the Lord says – My sheep hear My voice and follow Me. A prayer of dialogue will do the job.

I hear the Lord say: If you abide in Me and My words abide in you ask what you will and it shall be done.

And you will hear what I have to say if you will hold fast to that Door which is Me as the disciple who leaned on Me, whom I loved learned much from Me.

Yes, as you Call on Me I will show you great and mighty things you are not aware of.

Do not neglect assembling together as you have heard before, for there too in the assembling you will hear my voice and learn to discern. You will have heard Me inwardly and outwardly as well and you will know to discern the genuine and the counterfeit through the Anointing that dwells in you and My Word that illuminates you.

Greetings in the matchless Name of Jesus – the Lion of Judah!

It is our privilege as a cloud of witnesses on earth to see in our times, in our days, chapters of Revelation unfold – a panoramic exposure of biblical episodes foretold. We are literally living in the ‘last days.’ Soon and very soon we are going to see the King. I believe in biblical rapture. In the mean while portals have opened, are opening and will open in the ‘soon and very soon.’

This is going to be a series (God-willing) on ‘Portal Time Traveler.’ Are you ready? Fasten your seat belts…

The Bible abounds with references to portals, doors that were opened between God and His people. These portals, gates, entrances, road maps into God’s presence, pathways that connect the Heavenly and earthly realms, openings in heaven that reach the earth, supernatural travels are no more a mystery but a commonplace reality.

Importantly, on one hand, open portals release the power and presence of God and angelic activity to fulfil His plans and purposes individually and corporately and on the other hand, to prepare the Bride for His soon coming return. The prophets partner with angels in symphony, to encourage, exhort, comfort, build, prophesy in church settings, cities, nations, globally releasing mandates and mantles to spearhead God’s plans and purposes.

Satan on the contrary seeks to counterfeit God’s ways, opening portals to influence mankind negatively and destructively, in order to thwart God’s plans and purposes.

Let us reflect on one such Portal – The Portal of Thanksgiving and Praise. that is always accessible – a portal right into the presence of God, through corporate or singular praise.

Psalm 22:3; Psalm 100;

Psalm 22:3 “…you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel…”

Psalm 100 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

How are we going to worship the Lord through this portal?

– With the understanding that the Lord is God, He is good loving and faithful and we belong to Him. This understanding ushers us through the portal of thanksgiving for what He has done and praise for who He is. And that would supernaturally take us to throne to bow before Him in the silence of worship. The Father seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth John 4:23.

For you who would like to make your life naturally supernatural

– Your first step: Enter the Portal of Thanksgiving and Praise.

Psalm 34:1. I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

How often? – Continually.

Come into his presence with thanksgiving in your heart and give Him praise – that is very good, but incomplete until we worship at the throne in spirit and in truth.

Portals of Praise depict the heart of the psalmist, the prophet and others as well as they endeavor to bring forth heartfelt, spirit-led thanksgiving praise and worship.

How does God respond?

He throws wide open the windows of heaven with superabundance upon the earth. 

Psalm 84:4 How blessed are those who make Your house their home, who live with You; they are constantly praising You.

Psalm 67:5-6. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

Let this month be, ‘Begin the Begin’ or ‘Let’s start at the very Beginning’ – A very good place to start. Enter the Portal of Thanksgiving and Praise. Future Portals will follow in the series.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE (Continued)

The Church is called to be the radiant bride of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:2. The members of Christ’s Church are “promised,” engaged now to Him, for eventual presentation to Him as a perfect bride, to be married to Him in a profound spiritual union.

Revelation 19:7. “The wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.” – How important it is that the Bride of Christ makes herself ready for Him. But how does she do that?

By the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Oil in scriptures frequently symbolizes the Holy Spirit anointing Matthew 25. 1 Samuel 10, 16. The virgins with the abundant oil of the Holy Spirit went into the wedding banquet.

By being Baptized-in-the-Holy Spirit.

Jesus did mighty miracles when He was anointed with the Holy Spirit Acts 10:38. 

Jesus’ Bride the Church needs to cry out to God for a double portion of His Spirit like prophet Elisha did in 2 Kings 2:9. “Lord give us more oil!”  The Bride of Christ needs the mighty Baptism-in-the-Holy Spirit.

By being cleansed and washed daily with God’s Word Galatians 5:25-27.

Jesus longs for His bride to be holy and blameless. Like Adam, Jesus will marry a bride “suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18).

By walking in holiness and righteousness

Revelation 19:7-8. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints).

The ready – Bride of Christ is characterized by “righteous acts, she puts her faith in action – spirit-filled, word-filled, holy, righteous, devoted to Jesus, the heavenly Bridegroom.

It is time each of us takes a character inventory and addresses the sinful issues.  Pray, reflect, and examine our hearts.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE (Continued)

Before any wedding, the Bride spends a lot of time preparing herself for her husband. The parable of the ten virgins tells of people who are and are not ready for the appearance of the groom. Our king is coming! And we are all being called to get ready to meet him. Are we ready?

Since Jesus is returning as the Bridegroom, shouldn’t we His Bride, the Church, focus more on deepening our commitment to Him than on browsing over global last day catastrophic events at great length? We ought to be a burning shining lamp to our generation.

What does it mean that Jesus is the Bridegroom? – God did not give up on His unfaithful people. He himself came near as Immanuel who dwelt among us. John the Baptist calls himself a friend of Jesus the Bridegroom.

He said: “The one who has the Bride is the Bridegroom. The friend of the Bridegroom, who stands and hears Him, rejoices greatly at the Bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is now complete” John 3:29

Jesus calls himself the Bridegroom when criticized for not enforcing the kind of fasting among His disciples, that the Pharisees practised.

He said: “The attendants of the Bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the Bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the Bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast” Matthew 9:15.

The Bridegroom is coming! Are we ready for the wedding day?

Matthew 25: 1-4,10 At that time the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the Bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps…But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet.

“It is the last hour” 1 John 2:18 – Everyone should know it is the last hour.

There is chaos worldwide. We need to recognize the spirit of the Antichrist who has more intensely made his debut.

We need to be aware of spiritual deception reigning paramount in our days – “…false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and will perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, the elect” – abandoning steadfast discipleship; absence of sound doctrine. (Mark 13:22-23)

The Bible is full of allusions to God’s people being his bride. In the Old Testament, the prophets often portray God’s people as the beloved but often unfaithful bride.

God is seen as a faithful husband whose steadfast love is strong and lasting, pursuing and winning back his bride repeatedly. Hosea 3; Jeremiah 2

We need to get prepared as the Bride of Christ for the return of our glorious bridegroom King Jesus. While we are doing this we ought to be aware of our enemy, his tactics and his strategy. There shall be widespread deception in our days that if it were possible even to deceive the elect. Matthew 24:24

How shall we present ourselves to our Lord as we await His appearing?

Let us focus on the characteristics of the Bride 0f Christ as we ready ourselves for our beloved Bridegroom Jesus Christ.

The Bride of Christ should be wise like her Bridegroom (Proverbs 9:1).

Be an overcomer like her husband (Revelation 3:21); She builds her house on seven pillars (James 3:17) –

1. Purity
2. Peaceful / Righteous – not quarrelsome
3. Considerate
4. Willing to Yield – willing to receive correction
5. Fullness of Mercy
6. Faithful and loyal
7. Devoid of hypocrisy.

Although she is still far from perfect, she is pressing on and growing towards perfection.

The Church is the ‘Beloved of God.’ – Just like a bridegroom loves his bride so does God Almighty, who professes His love not merely in words, but in sacrificial actions Romans 5:8.

He leaves his palace, his throne, everything, to rescue the one He loves. His actions towards the Church are always full of love. Ephesians 5:25-32.

The Church should be radiantly beautiful. When God sees His Church, His family, He sees her made whole and holy, gloriously and graciously freed from the stains of sin and shining in the light of His love.

And just as He demonstrated in the Old Testament through the prophets who portrayed God’s people as a straying wife with an ever-faithful husband, we can rejoice that God delights to cleanse his bride in an ongoing way when she stumbles: Though the Church is made up of sinful people, they are redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. And redemption is a powerful restorative force that also looks forward to glory when everything wrong will be made right.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9.

As with so many sides of the Christian life, there is a lot already done here on earth but a heavenly reality or element not yet done, is the Church’s identity as the Bride of Christ. This is wedding supper celebrating the eternal union of God with His people yet to come. We as believers, are told to prepare ourselves as we await this feast with anticipation and great joy – the glorious future yet to come.

Revelation 19:7 “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.”

Revelation 21:2 is suggestive of the glorious moment in a wedding ceremony when the bride appears. “And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband”.

This is what we are preparing for: The Church as the bride of Christ. We will enjoy a blissful celebration as the bride of Christ in God’s eternal kingdom.”

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

The Bible is the only true prophetic road map that has accurately predicted and fulfilled prophecy after prophecy, including the end times before the rapture of the Church.

King Jesus the Cornerstone is coming back to earth.

And when He does, His kingdom will never end. Though no one knows the day or hour of His arrival, yet each of us ought to be prepared.

The sequence of events to take place: Rapture, Tribulation, Second Coming, Millennium, New Heaven and New Earth.

Matthew 24:24; John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;
1 Corinthians 15:50-53; Matthew 24:26-27; 1 Peter 4:7;
Revelation 3: 11; Revelation 7:14; Revelation 20:4;
Revelation 21:1-5

Yes, Jesus is coming back again. His first return will be to rapture the Church and bring the Church to heaven for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. 

Seven years later He will come again to the Mount of Olives, splitting it in half. 

The rapture and the second coming are imminent. 

Subsequently, the war begins.

Everyone is looking for good news. There is so much bad news replayed on television and media. The best news the world ever received came out of a cemetery. Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He is alive. He lives. He is seated at the Heavenly Father’s right hand.

He’s coming soon, there’s no doubt,
I’m going to leave this old world with a shout.
Soon I’ll be gone and things will be right.
Keep looking up, He may come tonight.

The trumpet will sound and those in the ground.
Who have kept the faith will be Heaven bound.
We who remain are going too.
I’m going to be there, now how about you?

Nations will tremble, folks run to and fro.
Then we’ll all assemble on this old world below.
Knees will start to bow in’ and tongues shall proclaim.
That Jesus, my Saviour, is the King of Kings.

My heart is overflowing’ with joy and peace.
I know I’ll soon be resting at my Saviour’s feet.
It may be in the morning, it may be at noon.
I don’t know when He’s coming but I know He’s coming soon.

If Jesus were to come today, would you be ready?

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, today is the day to turn your life over to Him!

And if you are not looking for the Lord’s second coming, He is not coming for you.

For all of us looking for His coming, we need to get ready!

We are going up in the twinkling of an eye and not left behind.

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – February 2022 (Dose of Prophecy)

A message to all prophetic eagles in a growing prophetic culture setting, in the local churches worldwide – sharing the heart and mind of God. 

Many of the genuine prophet – seers of our time are passing away, in transit to their celestial home. Like Elijah, their mantles of prophetic authority have been dropping for their successors to pick them up and continue the work they had initiated. The passing on of the mantle of Elijah symbolized the passing on of his ministry (work) to Elisha who ripped off his own clothes, tore them into pieces and placed Elijah’s mantle on his back, with the commencement of the young prophet’s own remarkable ministry.

Elisha’s tearing of his clothes also could have been symbolic of getting rid of his own mantle and putting on Elijah’s. This shows that Elisha must carry on the responsibilities of leadership as Elijah had done. Similarly, God wants to do greater things with each succeeding generation. And each new generation must seek Him for His purpose in their involvement.

For many of those in the shepherding ministry, there has been a hesitancy of ripping off the old mantle, of work that has culminated and engaging in the new expanding horizon of possibilities – so their progress has plateaued

“If you in your day and generation fully respond to God’s requirements, you will find yourself borne onward in the stream of His purpose. If, however, you hold on to the past, wanting God to do as He has formerly done; wanting Him to repeat something that in your estimation ranks high in spiritual value, you will find yourself out of the mainstream of His goings.

“To be a Luther in the sixteenth century was a good thing, but to be a Luther in the twentieth century would not meet the need. To be a Wesley was of great value to the Lord in the eighteenth century, but it would be inadequate in the twentieth century. Every instrumentality raised up of God has a specific function, and the contribution made to the Church by each one is exactly suited to the need of the hour, but it would not serve to build up the Church at a later stage in the Church’s development.

“Unfortunately, many people fail to recognize the onward flow of the living stream all through the Church’s history. We who are on the earth today have inherited vast wealth through the saints who have already made their contribution to the Church. We cannot overestimate the greatness of our heritage, nor can we be sufficiently thankful to God for it; but if today you try to be a Luther or a Wesley, you will be a complete failure. You will fall short of the purpose of God for this generation, for you will be moving backward while the tide of the Spirit is flowing steadily onward. The whole trend of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is an onward trend. The record from beginning to end is progressive unfolding of God’s goings.”

In this Old Testament scene, Elijah is a type of Christ ascending to the father. And Jesus promises us, “You’re going to do greater works than even I have done, because I go to my father” (John 14:12). In essence, He’s saying “You’re going to need more of my anointing, power and authority than any past generation has had. And my Spirit is going to endue you with all you need to be overcomers.”

Eagles, you have to go where eagles dare. This is the time you have to move on as messenger- prophet- seer, to your generation worldwide of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Be ready to soar high over all the storms of impending doom and gloom, with a fire in your heart and a word in your mouth as ambassadors of the soon coming King Jesus – preaching repentance and holiness unto the Lord. And expect the Lord to turn around the situation for the good of His children.

Yes, there are some who are walking in the fear of the Lord. Yet others in their lack a daisy approach are unconcerned A biblical view of sin necessitates a judgment beyond the grave. Yet they should still know that Jesus is the friend of sinners knocking on the door of their hearts seeking entry. We should pray for them.   

Sin in the believer’s life is no less offensive to God. In one sense, it is a greater offence, for the Christian has the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome it. The doctrine of eternal judgment should motivate the Christian to take evangelism seriously. If men and women are going to spend eternity in torment, apart from the living God, it is imperative that we warn them of the danger they are in. Prophetic evangelism is on the rise, do enrol, for the very last of the days are at hand.

It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God and yet some ridicule the prophet and the prophetic. God have mercy!

The prophet Samuel’s mantle was torn by King Saul resulting in his kingdom being torn away from him. “Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm” – a clarion call from the Almighty!

These are the days of Elijah – Declaring the word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your servant Moses – Righteousness being restored

And though these are days of great trial- Of famine and darkness and sword
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying “Prepare ye the way of the Lord!”

Behold, He comes riding on the clouds- Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
Lift your voice, the year of jubilee – And out of Zion’s hill, salvation comes

And these are the days of Ezekiel – The dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of Your servant David – Rebuilding a temple of praise

Oh, these are the days of the harvest- For the fields are as white in Your world
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard – Declaring the word of the Lord!

Oh, we give glory to You, Lord.

You’re the Lion of Judah. The Lamb who was slain

You’re the God of Jacob

You’re the God of Elijah

You’re the Lord God of Israel

You’re the Lord God of the universe

You’re God of Heaven and earth
Oh, Lord our King and our Redeemer

Jesus is Lord now and forever!

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – DECEMBER 2021 (Dose of Prophecy)

Do you believe you have a God-given destiny? That the Lord has great plans and purposes for your life? At times, you feel discouraged and lose hope of arriving at your God-given destiny and acquiring all that God has for you, being hampered in your moving forward due to the adversary’s harassment. It is true that the process of coming into our destiny in God does not happen without a struggle. Sometimes we have to fight our way into the victories God promises for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. It is a ‘good fight’ because, with His help, He assures us of a good win.

You were born to be a winner and do great things for God! You are the one who shapes your future despite your past that cannot derail your future because the amazing potential of God abides in you.

God plucked you out of the fiery circumstances because He has a purpose for you, a destiny to be fulfilled. You may fail or falter at times (James 3:2) but His eye is upon you and His desire is: “You will succeed in whatever you do and light will shine on the road ahead of you.” Job 22:28.

God is so good – He chooses our inheritance for us (the promised land – the land of fulfilled promises) Psalms 47:4.

We need to call forth those things that are not as though they already were for they are a heavenly reality. God’s eyes are upon you to prosper you, while the enemy’s eyes are on you to accuse you when you fail (Revelation 12:10) and hinder you from fulfilling your destiny.

God has a special plan and a purpose for every one of us and it started in eternity. (Jeremiah 29:11).

He foreknew, chose, and predestined us working out the course our lives would take (Romans 8). 

God knows us better than we know ourselves. He calls us to do what He knows He can enable us to do, provided we depend on His grace, not on our own ability. Every time we begin to depend on our own ability, we get into trouble.

They say the greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose. Everybody has a destiny and that includes you. God himself takes a personal interest in it. He chose your inheritance for you, providentially tailoring it just for you with a beautiful future for you who entrusts your life to him. Whether you realize it or not, you are also shaping your future by the words of your mouth and meditation of your heart and your faith acts– planting the right seeds be it in thought, word, deed, attitude, or resource.  You need to release the greatness of the ‘Greater One’ inside of you to obtain your destiny. You need His help and the Word of His mouth to heal your past and unlock your destiny archenemy

Pray against the archenemy of your soul in whatever ways he has attempted to block the fulfillment of your God-given destiny and purpose for your life

Make this declaration:

I renounce every legal right Satan has to deter my destiny! I pull down every stronghold that binds up my destiny! And I set myself fee in Jesus’ Name!

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – November 2021 (Dose of Prophecy)

I sense the Lord saying that His people ought to live a prophetic lifestyle, to converse with Him, because He is not far away from them, for in him they live and move and exist Acts17:28, and they are His sheep enabled to hear His voice John 10:27

I believe His heart’s desire for us is to converse with Him which is prophetic praying in its simplest form – not only talking to God about what is on our mind but also listening to learn what is on His heart and thereafter responding accordingly.

I also believe that prophetic praying fosters an intimate relationship with God, praying according to what is on God’s heart, agreeing with His purposes Matthew 6:10 for ourselves and others, praying with authority and faith facilitating miracles as we see in the life of Elijah who prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.’  James 5:17-18

The Lord wants us to be a prophetic people to pray prophetically with prophetic insight, revelation given to us by the Holy Spirit something we would not know by natural means, but supernaturally the Father’s purpose and intent which would assist our prayer. 

The power of prophetic prayer, would teach us how to pray advantageously in line with God’s word to get results.

That through prayer and fellowship with the Father we get to know His heart and what He is doing from moment to moment in our daily living and values which helps us respond to people the way He would, being empowered to witness His love and power to others.

God wants His people through prophetic praying out of His heart being led by His Spirit hearing His voice in to encourage, edify, and exhort them for His purpose in their lives.

You do not have to have to be a prophet to use prophetic prayer. Any Spirit-filled Christian can pray prophetically.

As sons and daughters, our Father wants to have a relationship; He wants to speak to each of us. On the other hand, if you do have a prophetic gift, then prophetic praying would enhance and sharpen it.

We know that prophetic praying can alter history and reshape the world, yet many believers don’t because of ignorance or not being persuaded of its effectiveness. If they only knew how it enables one to experience the power and presence of God in all areas of life, then it would not be just a religious exercise.

Where are the Elijahs of God? – In continuation of the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath, before he left her, her son fell very sick and died. Elijah cried out to God in prayer. God heard him and responded, the child revived.

Though she at first began to blame him: “Have you come here to point out my sins and kill my son?” – she later realized her folly and began to praise him. “Now I know for sure that you are a man of God, and that the Lord truly speaks through you.” (1 Kings 17:24). Out of this incidence the woman became a believer.

Be not afraid, whatever betide God will take care of you. Everything you want is on the other side of fear.

Change your attitude and you will change your life. Change your thoughts and words and you will change your world. Change the way you look at things and what you look at will change. Change the seen and shape the unseen. Be not complacent for complacency is a deadly foe to all spiritual growth.

“You may say there are still four months until harvest time. But I tell you to look, and you will see that the fields are ripe and ready to harvest.” John 4:35

The Lord hears you today and responds to your cry and He says to you:

Do you have a little oil? Step out in faith when I direct you. There are those who need a miracle. They are discouraged. They have not seen the rain of blessings. They need to see My hand move in their lives

I am going to use you in this hour. You are My prophetic people and signs and wonders will follow you if you step out in faith. Be filled with My oil for I have an inexhaustible supply that never runs dry. I have living water pouring out from My River of Life.

Would you be a channel for this River, sharing Christ My Son with many.

The anointing you respect is the anointing you attract and grows in your life.

All you need to do is hear My voice, use the little oil you have which will never run dry, step out in faith and I will use you.

A Word From The Prophet’s Pen – September 2021 (Dose of Prophecy)

When Elijah reached the gates of Zarephath he called out to the widow and asked her to bring him water and bread. The Lord was planning a healing event with lessons to be learned. She responded by bringing a handful of meal and a little oil which was all she had for the last meal she would be preparing for her child and herself.

Where are the Elijahs of God? – Do you have a little oil? – Yes, you do – what God placed in you.

Will you stir up the gift of the Holy Spirit, ignite the fire of His Spirit within you?

The woman was preparing to die of starvation but God had another plan for her. He told her the meal and the oil would not get over. She went and did as Elijah bade her. The handful of meal never grew less, nor the oil diminished for many days till God sent the rain and the famine was over according to His Word.

What you keep is all you have. What you give God multiplies.

Give God the little you have and He will multiply it manifold.

Perhaps you are discouraged, ready to quit. God says no!

– He is asking you, do you have a little oil? He is saying He filled you with His Spirit and you presently do have a little oil in your lamp – let the fire burn in your heart, the oil will not run out and you will bring forth miracles.

God is raising up prophets like Elijah – Do you still want to be an Elijah of God?

With God’s grace and direction, start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible!

Also, DO NOT LIMIT God’s channels.

Expect the seemingly impossible good to come from Him. For before you call He answers and His supply precedes your demand.

There is always a way out of every situation under Grace.

So run to the throne of Grace and you will receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need.

Crave the blessings of the Lord for they will make you rich with no sorrow added.

The only person you’re destined to become is the person you decide to be. The ladder to success is never crowded at the top. Stop dwelling all the time in the midst of chickens. Remember you are an eagle – let the eagle fly!
