Change — Prophet Tony Mathias

optimistvspessimistTwo men looked out from prison bars – one saw mud, the other saw stars.

An Optimist and a Pessimist are two people with different outlooks.
One has a good report, the other a bad report.
One, how things can be done, the other how things cannot be done.

There are three things that can facilitate change – attitude, approach, and commitment.

ATTITUDE: Are you an optimist or pessimist? Philippians 4:8-9.

optimism-vs-pesimismMany look at a problem but not at the accompanying solution and opportunity. Many complain about their job, rather than getting hold of an easier quicker and economic way to get it done which may prove beneficial. Success is often tied up with the work you love to do.

Your attitude or way of thinking determines your altitude. It is like saying – “Love and marriage like a ‘horse and carriage’ you can’t have one without the other.” As a man thinks in his heart so is he.

You cannot get higher than you think you can. Others will crowd around you when you change yourself and stop blaming God and others and in turn, the world will be a better place to live in.

APPROACH: Is your style the way it used to be or the way it should be? Philippians 3:13
The fact is that you are the way you are because that’s the way you want to be. You need to realize that amidst hindrances the biggest stumbling block is you. Nobody changes you except yourself. All of a sudden you realize that the reason you never changed earlier was because you never wanted to. If you wanted to be different you would welcome change.

Change your thoughts change your world. Change your world by changing your words. Change your routine – It is foolish to do things the same way and expect different results. You can’t do your job today with yesterday’s methods and still be in business tomorrow. Do things differently – raise your standard! Note down the kind of things you no longer tolerate and wish to be. Seek God’s help.

COMMITMENT: Philippians 3:12; Matthew 5:37
Many fail to achieve their goal or dream because of lack of commitment. Without commitment, you will look for an escape from the problem and you will find it. There are two important ingredients of commitment – Enthusiasm and Training which together draw creative ideas to fulfill your dream. Look for a solution to the problem.
An important principle: – Bloom where you are planted till you are planted elsewhere. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
