Death and life are in the power of the tongue. There is tremendous power released in spoken blessings although the opposite is also true, so we must make it a habit to release words of blessings for they will return pressed down shaken together running over. Luke 6:38.
Blessing is close to God’s heart – a force when released can bring in your harvest. Let us examine a few things blessing can do.
Blessing Accompanies His Presence
You were given admission into God’s presence at new birth through the blood of Jesus Hebrews 10:19. He came to live in you. 1 Corinthians 6:19. And because He indwells you so does His presence and blessings. His blessing always accompanies His presence. No one can rob His blessings from you. Only you can hinder His presence and blessing through sin and negativity. Grab a hold of the revelation that His presence and blessing is sealed in you through the blood of Jesus and you will succeed in all areas of your life. It is yours now!
The blessing is a spiritual invisible force resulting in God’s favor in all areas of life, finance, relationship, health…eliminating all obstacles between you and God’s promises! You don’t have to chase blessings when you already have them! – 2 Samuel 6:11 Obed-Edom’s life was blessed because of God’s presence. God’s blessing always accompanies His presence.
Blessing Reverses the Curse
James Goll in his book “Deliverance from Darkness” talks about the power of blessing. He describes a situation where he pronounced prophetic blessings in an assembly and a woman got instantly healed of paralysis as the power of God went through her. She started to walk and then dance. He said that he saw many delivered from demons and dramatically healed when he proclaimed blessings of the finished work of the “Cross” of Jesus.
Blessing is the most powerful force on the earth set into motion by our words and action. When decreed in faith, they drive back evil forces by reversing curses and bring forth non-existent blessings Romans 4:17, Proverbs 25:11; 16:24; Luke 6:45 – To Bless is to speak well of. To Curse is not to speak well of. – Look for and prophesy biblical blessings.
Genesis 12:3; Numbers 24:9 Blessed is he who blesses and cursed is he who curses. – Spoken Blessings an excellent way to intercede Ezekial 22:30; Hebrews 4:16
Blessings Created
When the Lord puts a desire in your heart to bless someone, be attentive to his needs. They may be lacking in love or finances, prey to temptations; harassed by fears, needing guidance. Discern the kind of blessing they or you need using scriptural references. Ask Holy Spirit for scriptures to ‘create a blessing’ [Use a concordance when needed] – You could also mail it to those you are interceding for; It would encourage them.
Example: Create a blessing for one facing deep sorrow according to 2 Corinthians 1:3
“May God our Father comfort, encourage and protect you from despair. May He cause His face to shine upon you as you rejoice in the midst of troubles and trials, putting your faith in Him being confident of His loving kindness toward you? May He give you His peace…?
Blessing or Curse a Choice
Do not repay evil with evil…but with blessing…so that you may inherit a
blessing (1 Peter 3:9).
Discover that it is more blessed to give than to receive!
Generational curses are broken through blessing. “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed.” Proverbs 11:25
A man wanted to be successful in his business of selling machinery. A rival appeared proclaiming, he had a better machine. Now this man began to worry and feel insecure that his machine would not be sold.
Another friend came along and encouraged him saying:
“Wipe out fear, knowing that God protects your interests, and that the right machine will be sold, by the right man, to the right man.” “Bless your competitor all day be willing not to sell your machine, if it is not God’s idea.”
He did as he was told and found the outcome remarkable. The other man’s machine refused to work, and he sold his without the slightest difficulty. “Bless your enemy, and you rob him of his ammunition.” Romans 8:28. – Blessing neutralizes evil “But I say unto you, love your enemies…
“Let your thoughts about everyone be for their good. Sometimes people bring financial hardship to themselves by dwelling on other people’s financial difficulties. What you focus on you draw to yourself. Rather see them getting out of their difficult situations and experiencing abundance. The blessings you send come back to you multiplied.
